On April 25th, the 2023 annual meeting of the Parts Branch of the China Sewing Machinery Association, with the theme of ‘seeking progress while maintaining stability, and jointly discussing the specialized, refined, and new development of parts’, was held in Wujiang, Jiangsu.Yang Xiaojing, Chairman of the China Sewing Machinery Association, Wu Jiling, Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Parts Branch, Liu Hangdong, Vice Chairman and Chairman of TPET, and other leaders attended the meeting. Wang Jianming, President of Wanping Sewing Machinery Association in Wujiang District, Suzhou, and over 100 people including Vice Chairman of the Parts Branch, member units of the Branch, and backbone member units of Wanping Association attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed and approved the work report of the second branch, the work plan of the third branch, and listened to Wu Jiling's explanation of the branch change and the recognition of the second batch of component single product champion enterprises.

At the meeting, certificates were successively issued to the President and Vice President of the third branch, the champion enterprise of the second batch of single component products, and advantageous enterprises.

Yang Xiaojing first expressed gratitude on behalf of the association for the strong support of the Wanping Association for this meeting, and congratulated the newly elected leadership of the third branch and the enterprises that have won the championship and recognized as advantageous enterprises. He pointed out that after three years of the epidemic, the successful convening of this meeting has brought together key enterprises in the field of industry components to communicate with each other and discuss the development plan of components, which is of great significance. In recent years, in the context of high external environmental winds, frequent fluctuations in the epidemic, and increased economic pressure on the industry, the parts industry has encountered short-term difficulties and challenges. But the majority of enterprises have adhered to their main business and development, demonstrating strong willpower and determination to proactively adapt.

Yang Xiaojing emphasized that in the first quarter of 2023, China's economic development achieved a year-on-year growth of 4.5% in gross domestic product, a year-on-year growth of 5.8% in total retail sales of consumer goods, and a year-on-year growth of 4.8% in total import and export of goods... This demonstrates the positive trend of China's economic recovery in the process of high-quality development, further laying the overall tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, We will strive to promote the overall requirements of ‘grasping the new development stage, implementing the new development concept, and building a new development pattern’, and implement the major strategic deployment of ‘three new and one high’ for high-quality development, so as to provide a stronger impetus for comprehensively promoting Chinese path to modernization and point out the direction for the development of China's sewing machinery industry. Facing the new industrial stage and environment, five hopes and requirements are put forward for the development of the industry's parts industry and enterprises:

Firstly, strengthen confidence, adhere to our main business, and strive for progress while maintaining stability. The Party Central Committee and the State Council have clearly placed the focus of economic development on the real economy, focusing on the introduction of a series of policies for small and medium-sized enterprises, which will bring new policy dividends and development environment; Global demand is expected to gradually release in the second half of the year. As a key infrastructure supporting industries such as textile and clothing, shoes, hats, bags, home textiles, automotive aviation, and industrial textiles, the industry is bound to usher in a new round of development opportunities, and enterprises should be confident in this. Although the overall development environment of the industry still faces many challenges, overcoming danger is an opportunity. Enterprises should be good at capturing and creating opportunities from the current crisis and difficulties, adhere to quality first and innovation driven, continuously stabilize the market and customers, and strive to achieve higher quality and stable development in the industry.

Secondly, focus on attention, demonstration and leadership, and transform into specialized, refined, and innovative ones. At present, China is continuously increasing its efforts to cultivate specialized, refined, and special new enterprises. In the field of spare parts, national and provincial specialized, refined, and special new enterprises such as BOM, Guanjiong, Jinyi, and Tengzhuo have emerged, fully confirming that spare parts enterprises have taken action.The theme of the conference is' Co discussion on specialized, refined, and innovative development of components', with the aim of guiding component enterprises to accelerate their transformation pace. In the future, enterprises need to focus and establish competitive advantages in segmented fields; Need to cultivate the industry's ‘craftsmanship spirit’; We need to demonstrate a sense of responsibility in the process of promoting development with the spirit of entrepreneurship in the new era, and unite our efforts from the above three levels. On the basis of a complete supply chain, we need to refine, specialize, and strengthen various sub sectors, and create a strong foundation and strong chain that matches the status of an industrial powerhouse. I hope that enterprises that have been rated as specialized, refined, and innovative can demonstrate and lead, and drive the continuous optimization of the industrial chain collaboration system; Enterprises that aspire to develop towards specialization, refinement, and innovation, benchmark their requirements, solidify their foundation, hone their basic skills, tap into potential internally, focus on innovation, and help create a more resilient industrial ecosystem.

Thirdly, strengthen collaboration, strengthen the supply chain, and create a symbiotic and win-win situation. Since last year, the country has successively introduced a series of top-level designs, such as the Outline for Building a Quality Powerful Country and the Overall Layout Plan for Building a Digital China, to accelerate the construction of a circulation based on a modern industrial system. It should be noted that the industry supply chain with components as the core will comprehensively support the high-quality development of the industry. Both parties should strengthen industrial linkage and consolidate the foundation of a strong country in accordance with national policy guidelines and industry requirements. At the same time, we should adhere to the principle of honesty, which is not only an essential element of the socialist market economy system in the new era, but also a strong cornerstone for the development of the industry. Zero integration enterprises should adopt a more inclusive, open, symbiotic, and shared mindset to create a mutually beneficial community of zero integration interests.

Fourthly, expand fields, cultivate momentum, and expand unity and diversity. Under the overall requirement of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system and cultivate new driving forces for development, component enterprises should fully recognize the importance of concentric and diversified development, with the main business of sewing machines as the circle point, product characteristics as the direction, and process flexibility as the core.
